June 19 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 pm

DHWAJAAROHANAM & DEVATA AAHVAANAM

Dhwajaarohanam marks one of the most sacred and significant ceremonies of the Brahmotsavam celebrations. This ritual formally inaugurates the grand festival by hoisting the sacred Garuda flag on the temple Dhwaja Stambham (flagstaff), symbolizing an invitation to all divine beings, sages, celestial entities, and devotees to participate in the sacred festivities of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy.

The day begins with a series of powerful Vedic rituals including Kalasa Sthapana, Agni Pratishtha, Garuda Homam, and Dhwajaarohanam. These ceremonies invoke divine blessings, establish spiritual energies, and sanctify the temple premises for the days of Brahmotsavam ahead.

In the evening, Devata Aahvaanam is performed to ceremonially invite all deities to witness and bless the festival proceedings. The day concludes with the beautiful Dolotsavam, where the Lord is seated on a decorated swing and worshipped amidst devotional music, Vedic chanting, and prayers.
