About Brahmotsavam

The word Utsavam means celebration or festival, and Brahmotsavam is believed to have been first performed by Lord Brahma Himself, giving the festival its divine name and significance.

At Sri Venkateswara Temple, Bridgewater, New Jersey, Brahmotsavam is traditionally celebrated during June or July, beginning from Jyeshtha Bahula Truteeya according to the Hindu calendar. Festival dates may vary every year based on the lunar calendar.
