HTCS is qualified as a Certifying Organization for the President’s Volunteer Service Award. The award recognizes volunteers who contribute their time and service toward strengthening the community.

What is the President’s Volunteer Service Award?
The President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) is a prestigious national recognition that honors individuals who dedicate their time and effort to volunteer service and making a positive difference in their communities.
The award recognizes volunteers who demonstrate a sustained commitment to serving others through eligible, unpaid volunteer activities. Through HTCS, eligible volunteers can have their service hours verified and receive recognition for their valuable contributions to the community.

Track Your Service Throughout the Year
PVSA service hours are accumulated over a 12-month service period.
HTCS uses a July–June service year. Volunteers should maintain accurate records of their qualifying service activities throughout the year and submit their hours according to the established application process.
We encourage volunteers to maintain:
- Date of service
- Description of service activity
- Number of hours served
- Organization/program where service was performed
- Appropriate verification or approval
Important: Submitted hours must meet the applicable PVSA and HTCS requirements.

For volunteers who achieve the required number of qualifying service hours for the Bronze level.

For volunteers who achieve the highest qualifying service-hour milestone.
