This spiritually enriching day of Brahmotsavam features some of the most cherished and sacred ceremonies dedicated to Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy. Devotees will have the opportunity to participate in the powerful Sri Sudarsana Homam, witness the divine celestial wedding of Sri Venkateswara Swamy Kalyana Mahotsavam, receive blessings during the grand Brahma Sabha, and experience the majestic Rathotsavam procession.
A special highlight of the day is the Poolangi Seva, where Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy is beautifully adorned with an exquisite decoration made entirely of fresh flowers. This magnificent floral adornment symbolizes devotion, purity, beauty, and complete surrender to the Lord.
The celebrations culminate with Rathotsavam, one of the grandest events of Brahmotsavam, where the Lord is taken in procession on the sacred temple chariot, blessing devotees and sanctifying the surroundings with His divine presence.
Morning Schedule
7:30 AM – Suprabhatam
The day’s festivities begin with the sacred Suprabhatam service, awakening Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy through devotional hymns and Vedic chants. This cherished tradition fills the temple with spiritual energy and devotion, inviting devotees to begin the day in the Lord’s divine presence.
8:00 AM – Nitya Homam
The daily sacred fire ritual is performed with Vedic chanting and offerings into the consecrated fire. Devotees pray for divine blessings, peace, prosperity, protection, and the successful completion of the Brahmotsavam celebrations.
8:30 AM – Sri Sudarsana Homam
Sri Sudarsana Homam is one of the most powerful Vedic fire rituals dedicated to Lord Sudarsana, the divine discus (Chakra) of Lord Mahavishnu. This sacred homam is performed for protection from negative influences, removal of obstacles, purification, good health, spiritual progress, and overall well-being. The blessings of Lord Sudarsana are believed to provide divine protection and victory over challenges.
10:00 AM – Poornahuti
Poornahuti marks the successful completion of the Sudarsana Homam. Special offerings are made into the sacred fire while Vedic mantras are chanted, signifying the culmination of the ritual and the acceptance of devotees’ prayers by the divine.
10:30 AM – Sankalpam
The priests perform Sankalpam, a sacred declaration seeking the blessings of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy and Goddess Sri Padmavathi Devi for the successful conduct of the Kalyana Mahotsavam and the welfare of all devotees.
10:45 AM – Sri Venkateswara Swamy Kalyana Mahotsavam
One of the most beloved ceremonies of Brahmotsavam, the Kalyana Mahotsavam reenacts the divine celestial wedding of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy with Goddess Sri Padmavathi Devi. This sacred event symbolizes divine harmony, prosperity, happiness, family well-being, and spiritual fulfillment. Devotees participating in or witnessing this ceremony are believed to receive blessings for marital harmony, family prosperity, and fulfillment of righteous desires.
Poolangi Seva
During the Kalyana Mahotsavam, devotees can also witness the breathtaking Poolangi Seva, where Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy is adorned entirely with fragrant and colorful flowers. The floral decoration reflects divine beauty and represents the offering of nature’s finest creations to the Lord.

2:30 PM – 4:30 PM – Brahma Sabha
Sri Venkateswara Kala Aseervachana Mahotsavam
Brahma Sabha is a grand devotional and cultural assembly dedicated to glorifying Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy through spiritual discourses, devotional presentations, cultural programs, and divine blessings. The Sri Venkateswara Kala Aseervachana Mahotsavam celebrates devotion through traditional arts, music, dance, and spiritual teachings that inspire devotion and strengthen the connection between devotees and the Lord.
This sacred gathering serves as a platform for receiving divine blessings while celebrating the rich spiritual and cultural heritage associated with Lord Venkateswara.
Evening Schedule
5:00 PM – Nitya Homam
The evening rituals commence with the daily homam, invoking divine blessings and expressing gratitude for the successful completion of the day’s sacred ceremonies.
5:45 PM – Poornahuti
The homam concludes with Poornahuti, symbolizing the completion of the sacred offerings and prayers.
6:30 PM – Rathotsavam
Rathotsavam is one of the most magnificent and eagerly awaited events of Brahmotsavam. Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy is ceremonially seated on the beautifully decorated temple chariot and taken in a grand procession amidst Vedic chanting, devotional singing, and the joyous participation of devotees.
The pulling of the sacred chariot symbolizes devotees’ collective devotion and their desire to draw closer to the Lord. Witnessing or participating in Rathotsavam is considered highly auspicious and spiritually rewarding.
7:30 PM – Dolotsavam
Following the Rathotsavam, Dolotsavam is performed with the Utsava Murti seated on a beautifully decorated swing. Accompanied by devotional music and prayers, the ceremony reflects the loving relationship between the Lord and His devotees.
8:00 PM – Neerajanam
The day’s celebrations conclude with Neerajanam, the ceremonial offering of sacred light to Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy. Devotees receive Harathi and seek blessings for health, prosperity, family happiness, protection, and spiritual growth.
