The day includes sacred Vedic rituals, Sri Mahalakshmi Homam, Deepotsavam, Nakshatreshti Parayanam, and the majestic Garuda Vahana Seva. Together, these ceremonies invoke the blessings of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy and Goddess Mahalakshmi for prosperity, protection, peace, and spiritual upliftment.
Morning Schedule
9:00 AM – Nitya Homam
The day begins with the sacred Nitya Homam, where Vedic mantras are offered into the consecrated fire. This daily ritual invokes divine blessings for the welfare of devotees and the successful continuation of the Brahmotsavam celebrations.
9:30 AM – Purusha Sukta Parayanam
The sacred Purusha Sukta from the Rig Veda is recited in praise of the Supreme Cosmic Being, Lord Mahavishnu. This powerful Vedic hymn describes the divine nature of the Lord and the creation of the universe, filling the temple atmosphere with spiritual vibrations.
10:00 AM – Sri Sukta Parayanam
Sri Sukta is chanted to invoke the blessings of Goddess Mahalakshmi, the embodiment of prosperity, abundance, auspiciousness, and divine grace. Devotees seek blessings for happiness, success, and spiritual well-being.
10:30 AM – Sri Mahalakshmi Homam
A special homam dedicated to Goddess Mahalakshmi is performed with sacred offerings and Vedic chants. This powerful ritual is believed to remove financial obstacles, promote prosperity, and bless devotees with harmony, wealth, and divine protection.
11:30 AM – Poornahuti
The morning homam concludes with Poornahuti, the final offering into the sacred fire. This signifies the successful completion of the ritual and the acceptance of prayers by the divine.
Evening Schedule
5:00 PM – Nitya Homam
The evening worship begins with the daily homam, expressing gratitude to the Lord and seeking His continued blessings throughout the Brahmotsavam celebrations.
5:45 PM – Poornahuti
The evening homam concludes with Poornahuti, marking the completion of the sacred offerings.
6:30 PM – Sankalpam
Priests perform the sacred Sankalpam, offering prayers for the successful conduct of Deepotsavam and seeking blessings for all devotees participating in the celebrations.
6:45 PM – Deepotsavam
The highlight of the day, Deepotsavam transforms the temple into a sea of divine light. Hundreds and thousands of traditional lamps are lit throughout the temple, symbolizing the removal of darkness and the awakening of spiritual knowledge. The glow of the lamps represents the presence of divine grace in the lives of devotees and serves as a reminder to cultivate devotion, wisdom, and righteousness.
7:15 PM – Nakshatreshti Parayanam
This sacred Vedic recitation invokes the blessings of celestial forces and Nakshatras (constellations). Through the chanting of powerful mantras, prayers are offered for peace, harmony, protection, health, prosperity, and spiritual progress for all devotees and their families.
7:45 PM – Neerajanam
Sacred lamps are offered to Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy in a beautiful Harathi ceremony. Devotees receive the divine light and seek blessings for health, happiness, prosperity, and spiritual fulfillment.
8:00 PM – Garuda Vahana Seva
The celebrations culminate with the magnificent Garuda Vahana Seva, one of the most important processions of Brahmotsavam. Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy is majestically seated upon Garuda, His divine celestial vehicle and greatest devotee. Garuda symbolizes unwavering devotion, strength, protection, and service to the Lord.
As the Lord proceeds through the temple grounds amidst Vedic chanting, devotional singing, and the prayers of devotees, the atmosphere becomes charged with spiritual energy.
