Vedic Math Program
About Vedic Math Program
The Vedic Math Program at Sri Venkateswara Temple introduces students to Sri Bharati Krishna Tirthaji’s system of math. “Vedic Mathematics” is a work by Sri Bharati Krishna Tirthaji (1884 – 1960) based on sixteen sutras (formulas) and 14 subsutras, and the book was published in 1965. It has gained popularity in the past few decades because of its profound and simple concepts applicable to fast arithmetic calculations like multiplication, division etc.
At HTCS, we teach Vedic Mathematics to school children to augment their learning in regular school. For younger students, fast arithmetic techniques for multiplication, division, squares, cubes, fractions are taught. For students in higher grades, topics are on Algebra, Geometry, Coordinate Geometry.
The Vedic Math Program helps students learn mental math using different approaches, simplify calculations, and improve problem-solving skills. It is designed to do mathematics faster mentally or with one-line calculations. Students can apply Vedic Math techniques in school academics and competitive exams.
