The concluding day of Brahmotsavam is marked by some of the most sacred and spiritually significant ceremonies of the entire festival. This auspicious day features Maha Poornahuti, Dhwaja Avarohanam, Chakra Snanam, Sri Pushpa Yagam, Saptavaranam, and Ekanta Seva, bringing the grand Brahmotsavam celebrations to a divine and fulfilling conclusion.
These ceremonies symbolize gratitude to the Lord, the completion of the sacred festivities, the offering of devotion through flowers and prayers, and the ceremonial conclusion of the divine invitation extended to celestial beings during Brahmotsavam. Devotees are blessed with a unique opportunity to witness the culmination of days of worship, Vedic rituals, and divine celebrations dedicated to Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy.
Morning Schedule
9:00 AM – Nitya Homam
The final day begins with the daily sacred homam, invoking the blessings of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy and expressing gratitude for the successful completion of the Brahmotsavam festivities.
9:30 AM – Parivara Devata Homam
A special homam is performed in honor of the Parivara Devatas (attendant deities) associated with Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy. Through sacred offerings and Vedic chants, gratitude is expressed to the divine beings who have protected and blessed the festival proceedings.
10:15 AM – Maha Poornahuti
Maha Poornahuti is the grand culmination of all the homams performed throughout Brahmotsavam. Special sacred offerings are made into the consecrated fire while Vedic mantras are chanted. This powerful ceremony signifies the successful completion of the festival’s Vedic rituals and invokes blessings for universal peace, prosperity, and spiritual well-being.
10:30 AM – Agni Udvasanam
Following Maha Poornahuti, Agni Udvasanam is performed. The sacred fire deity is respectfully thanked and ceremonially concluded after fulfilling its role as the divine messenger carrying devotees’ offerings and prayers to the celestial realms.
10:45 AM – Dhwaja Avarohanam
Dhwaja Avarohanam marks the ceremonial lowering of the Garuda flag from the temple Dhwaja Stambham. This ritual signifies the conclusion of the Brahmotsavam celebrations and respectfully announces the completion of the divine festival that began with Dhwajaarohanam.
11:00 AM – Maha Abhishekam
A grand Abhishekam is performed to:
- Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy
- Goddess Sri Sridevi
- Goddess Sri Bhudevi
- Sri Sudarsana Narasimha Utsava Murthys
The deities are ceremonially bathed with sacred substances including sanctified water, milk, turmeric, sandalwood, and other auspicious offerings while Vedic hymns are recited. This sacred ritual symbolizes purification, devotion, and divine grace.
12:00 PM – Chakra Snanam
One of the most revered concluding rituals of Brahmotsavam, Chakra Snanam is performed for the sacred Sudarsana Chakra. This ceremonial holy bath symbolizes purification, spiritual renewal, and the removal of negative influences. Devotees consider witnessing Chakra Snanam highly auspicious and spiritually rewarding.
12:30 PM – Neerajanam
Sacred lamps are offered to the Lord and devotees receive Harathi, seeking blessings for health, prosperity, protection, and spiritual fulfillment.
Evening Schedule
4:00 PM – Sankalpam
The evening ceremonies begin with Sankalpam, offering prayers for the successful completion of Sri Pushpa Yagam and the concluding rituals of Brahmotsavam.
4:15 PM – Sri Pushpa Yagam
Sri Pushpa Yagam is a magnificent floral worship ceremony performed as an expression of gratitude and devotion to Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy. Thousands of fragrant flowers are offered while sacred Vedic hymns are recited. This ritual is performed to seek forgiveness for any inadvertent omissions during the festival and to invoke the Lord’s continued blessings upon devotees and the community.
The vibrant floral offerings symbolize purity, devotion, surrender, and the beauty of divine worship.
5:30 PM – Devata Udvaasanam
Devata Udvaasanam is the ceremonial conclusion of the divine invitation extended to celestial beings during Brahmotsavam. The deities and divine energies invoked throughout the festival are respectfully offered gratitude and ceremonially bid farewell.
6:00 PM – Dwadasa Aradhana
A special worship service is performed honoring the divine manifestations and sacred traditions associated with Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy. The ritual seeks blessings for continued spiritual growth and divine protection.
6:30 PM – Saptavaranam
Saptavaranam is a deeply symbolic ritual involving seven layers of ceremonial worship and protection surrounding the Lord. This sacred ceremony represents the cosmic order, divine guardianship, and the spiritual completion of the Brahmotsavam festivities.
The ritual signifies the Lord’s protection of the universe and the devotees who seek refuge in His divine grace.
7:15 PM – Ekanta Seva
Ekanta Seva is the final and most intimate service offered to Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy at the conclusion of the festival. The Lord is ceremonially offered rest while devotional hymns and prayers are rendered in a serene and peaceful atmosphere. This beautiful ritual reflects the loving relationship between the Lord and His devotees.
7:45 PM – Brahmotsavam Samaapti
The grand Brahmotsavam celebrations formally conclude with prayers of gratitude to Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy, Goddess Sridevi, Goddess Bhudevi, and all the divine beings who blessed the festivities.
