Brahmotsavam
Brahmotsavam is one of the most sacred and magnificent annual festivals celebrated at Sri Venkateswara Temple. This grand nine-day utsavam is dedicated to Lord Sri Venkateswara and is observed with elaborate rituals, homams, cultural programs, divine processions, and special spiritual ceremonies.
About Brahmotsavam
The word Utsavam means celebration or festival, and Brahmotsavam is believed to have been first performed by Lord Brahma Himself, giving the festival its divine name and significance.
At Sri Venkateswara Temple, Bridgewater, New Jersey, Brahmotsavam is traditionally celebrated during June or July, beginning from Jyeshtha Bahula Truteeya according to the Hindu calendar. Festival dates may vary every year based on the lunar calendar.
The festival symbolizes devotion, purification, divine blessings, and the spiritual connection between devotees and Lord Venkateswara.
